Sustainability Manager – Circular Packaging

Smurfit Kappa is one of the leading providers of paper-based packaging in the world with operations in 36 countries. We are looking for a Sustainability Manager to lead our circular economy programmes across Northern Europe. You will work closely with our product design, commercial, and manufacturing teams to accelerate packaging circularity, reduce emissions, and respond to evolving EU Green Deal regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the implementation of Smurfit Kappa Better Planet Packaging pledge across Northern Europe - Monitor and report on Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions across the region - Ensure compliance with EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) updates - Work with customers on sustainable packaging redesign to reduce weight and improve recyclability - Build relationships with industry bodies including FEFCO, Pro Carton, and CEPI - Prepare sustainability content for customer ESG due diligence questionnaires
