About the Role
Berry Global is one of the world leading manufacturers of rigid plastic packaging. Our Manchester plant produces closures, containers, and custom moulded components for FMCG customers across the UK.
We are looking for a Process Engineer to support continuous improvement and new product launch activities on our injection moulding lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, optimise, and troubleshoot injection moulding processes across 20–400T machines
- Support new tool trials and product launches with PPAP documentation
- Carry out root cause analysis on quality escapes using 8D methodology
- Implement lean manufacturing improvements and waste reduction projects
- Maintain process parameter records and SPC data
- Train machine operators on process best practices
Requirements
- ✓Degree or HND in Plastics Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- ✓2+ years experience in injection moulding process engineering
- ✓Knowledge of scientific moulding principles (Decoupled Moulding II/III)
- ✓Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, PPAP, and control plans
- ✓Experience with Arburg, Engel, or Husky machines preferred
- ✓RJG or similar process engineering certification a plus
